What couples actually felt on the water
CATAMARAN WEDDING REVIEWS PUERTO PLATA
We were nervous about planning from abroad, but everything was so clear. Transfers, timing with our photographer, food and drinks — it all just happened around us while we enjoyed our day. It felt incredibly private and special.
MARIA & ANDRÉS
We wanted something different from the typical resort wedding, and Tip Top delivered more than we imagined. The ceremony at sunset on the front of the catamaran was straight out of a movie. Our guests still talk about it as the highlight of the trip.
EMILY & JASON
Perfect sunset wedding. No stress, just flow from ceremony to dinner on the water. The crew handled everything quietly so we could focus on the moment. Guests from different ages and everyone felt comfortable.

Questions before you book?

How many guests can join a wedding on the catamaran?
Tip Top is the largest catamaran on the North Coast with space for sizeable groups. Tell us your approximate guest count and we'll confirm the ideal setup and capacity for your wedding format.
Can we legally get married on board?
Many couples complete the legal paperwork at home or at the resort, and use the catamaran for their symbolic ceremony and celebration. If you plan a legal ceremony at sea, let us know your requirements and we'll advise based on local options.
What happens if weather conditions are not good on our wedding day?
Your wedding is planned with local weather patterns in mind — we've been doing this for 20 years. In case of unsafe conditions, we work with you on route adjustments, timing changes or rescheduling according to our safety policy.
Can we bring our own photographer, planner or decorations?
Of course. We coordinate directly with your photographer, videographer and planner, and are happy to install light decorations you bring, as long as they're compatible with safety on board.
Is the boat safe for elderly guests and children?
Yes. The catamaran is very stable, with shaded seating, safety rails, children's life vests and a crew experienced with multi-generation families. Our captain has 50 years at sea — your guests are in expert hands.
How far in advance should we book?
For high season and popular sunset slots, we recommend booking 6 to 12 months in advance. Last-minute dates may be available — send us a request and we'll check availability for you.
